Project Bloodhound Print
On 9 July 2009 forty-six Whitton students attended Starfest at The Live Room of the RFU Twickenham.  They were treated to a presentation by Richard Noble, who held the land speed record between 1983 and 1997, about the new land speed project Bloodhound which hopes to produce a car that is capable of travelling at 800mph by 2011.  As part of this special day, our Art Club had been working on three paintings about rocket cars.  The whole Bloodhound team were so impressed with the canvasses produced that they asked if they could take the paintings with them to use at their presentations around the country.  On thursday 22 October Project Bloodhound team member Ian Glover visited the school to return the paintings and talk to our students about the land speed record attempts.  Image
